Bird in Hand Pools: Our premier waters

The Bird in Hand Pools stand out as our premier fishing waters, offering an excellent mix of species and a good chance to catch impressive fish. Whether you're after a diverse bag or a specimen catch, these pools will deliver. We also ensure accessibility with disabled parking available for blue badge holders, and convenient parking close to the waters.

Please note that this Flyby Video is over 4 years old, since this was taken we have had a new bridge, added 10 No pegs to the new pool (with 7 more planned for the end of 2026) and improved or replaced some of the existing pegs (again with more improvements and upgrades planned for end 2026/2027)

Blythe Pool Tean: Restoration in progress

Blythe Pool Tean has re-opened in June 2026 after being closed due to predation issues. We worked alongside the Environment Agency and the Angling Trust to implement preventative measures like floating islands and restock the pool. We have stocked over 3000 small Carp and 5000 Silvers in February 2026, providing a fantastic fishing experience once again. We have also started to restock some larger fish with more expected later in the year when funds allow. Please note that parking for Blythe Pool Tean is away from the water, requiring access across a field. There is also a new anti-predation electric fence around the water.

This water currently mainly caters for silver fish and small carp although there are some bigger carp in there. This is an ideal water for new anglers, families, younger anglers or people getting back into the sport after a break.

##Update##

As of July 2026 we can confirm that the small carp are piling the weight on now and no matter how or where you fish on this pool your are pretty much guaranteed to pull one out.

Please note that this Flyby Video is over 5 years old, since this was taken we have made extensive improvements and upgrades with more planned for the end 2026/2027)
